Norwest Mock Competition - RULES FOR SINGLES AND PAIRS ENTRIES

Date - Saturday 21^st July 2018 . Entries Close: Friday 6^th July 2018.

This is a Mock competition designed for beginner dogs who are close to racing or just at the start of their racing careers. There will be two classes of Singles – one for dogs with no AFA points and one for dogs with up to 20 AFA Points at time of entry. In pairs racing one of the two nominated dogs must have less than 20 AFA Points- the other dog can either be a beginner or an experienced racing dog. All dogs must have current CRNS. Dogs in pairs do not need to be from the same Club. Dogs may be excused from racing if concerns exist re any safety issue. An optional lane barrier will be available for use between box and start.

Entry fee: $10 per dog for Singles racing & $20 per team for Pairs racing and must be deposited to the nominated bank account on entry form.

BEGINNER SINGLES CRITERIA

• Dogs must be over 1 year of age
• Handlers must be financial members of the AFA & dogs must have a current CRN
• Beginners Classes are open to dogs that have NO or have less than 20 AFA Title points as at the closing date of entries.
• Jump heights will be at the handlers choice ie between 7 & 14 inches
• Racing will be in 3 heat format and NO false starts will be allowed - dogs will be given several races ( number will depend on entries and time available).
• All AFA rules apply – NO title points are awarded for this event
• A seed time must be entered & it should be based on a forecast time for the dog at the nominated jump height – this will be used to try to match dogs in both lanes.
• Competitors may use their own box or supplied boxes will be available.

Beginner PAIRS RACING CRITERIA

• Handlers must be financial members of the AFA & dogs must have a current CRN
• Pairs Classes are open to AFA Registered dogs – one of the dogs must have NO or less than 20 AFA Title points as at the entry closing date
• Jump heights will be at the handlers choice between 7 & 14 inches.
• All AFA rules apply - NO title points are given for this event.

Racing will be in 3 heat format.

• A declared seed time must be entered for Pairs simply to be used to group pairs.
• Competitors may use their own box or supplied boxes will be available.

Dogs NSW Demo – Saturday 16^th June

 

Entries are now closed for this Demo – we have 32 racing dogs and 10 Beginner dogs who have entered for the demo from 5 Clubs. We will select teams at the start of the day. Our Demo times are 9.30, 11.00, 1.00 and 2.30. In between Demos the beginner dogs are welcome to use the ring. Participants are asked to arrive at the Grounds before 8 am. A map showing the ground layout and where to park will be posted shortly. We will be using the Lights and there will be 2 boxes set up in the ring. See you on the 16^th June.
