Recent Incidence of dog vomiting in flyball Ring The Committee wishes to draw members attention to the importance of reporting such incidents in the ring and immediately accepting responsibility for cleaning up the vomit so that other dogs are not distracted or exposed to the mess. The reported incident also involved a question as to whether a dog vomiting in the ring should be covered by the fouling in the ring rule. The Committee concluded that vomiting was an involuntary action that in normal circumstances could not be predicted and could not be prevented by a member taking preventative action, such as toileting the dog before the race. What is required when a dog vomits in the ring is for the member to immediately accept responsibility for cleaning up the mess. No race penalty will be imposed where this is done. Failure to take appropriate action however may result in the Judge or AFA Representative reporting the member for unsporting conduct.
