Breed: Kelpie x (terrier)

Description: Dainty Nala has is a good natured young dog who is quick to learn and very keen to please. She seems to have an exceptional ability to focus when being taught new things. On top of that quality she is agile and fast so would be an ideal candidate for agility or flyball. Nala is much smaller than she appears in the photo only weighing in at 11kg and measuring about 14" to her shoulderso in the flyball world would make a great height dog.

Nala is very good with other dogs and quickly made friends with my three male terriers - they play andchase each other around the yard. Nala is also good friends with her new foster sister Pearl who is similar in age. Nala is a very sweet natured dogwhois happy when she's with her family and she just simply adores a cuddle! She can sit and drop and has already learned to stay while you walk through the door.

Nala is still a pup so will need continued training and socialising to help her grow into the well balanced adult she’s on her way to becoming. She's not overly active considering she's a young kelpi e/ terrier but would certainly need a daily walk. On our recent visit to the vet Nala was well behaved and friendly and more than happy to accept the attention just as she is when we have visitors!

She'd be best suited to a home with another dog as she's definitely not the sort of dog that would cope if left alone for long periods. I also think a home with older children more suitable as she does get excited when you get home so may be too much for toddlers. Nala will need to sleep inside at night and be allowed inside to be part of family life.
